What's required to open a Whale account?

Opening a Whale account is similar to opening any other bank account except Whale makes it lightning fast by pre-filling much of the required information via our integration with your property manager. It takes 2-3 minutes to open a Whale account.

You must provide the following to open an account:

• Full legal name
• Email address
• Date of Birth
• Phone number
• Employment status
• SSN or ITIN

If we’re unable to verify your identity with the information provided, we may require a government issued ID and/or upload of your Tax ID document via our identity verification platform, Footprint.
